The future of transatlantic investment is the theme of the United States and Central & Eastern Europe (US-CEE) Connection Weekend. The event is organized by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and the Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
The two-day event will take place on June 16 and 17 at the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University just off Cracow's Main Square and other historic parts of the city. The event will be opened by the deans of both universities - Jerzy Pisulinski and Stephen C. Payne.
During the meeting, you will be able listen to representatives from the business and educational sectors, lawyers, and government officials. OW as a partner of the meeting will be represented by our International Desk experts:
- Wojciech Jarosinski, member of the Board of Visitors for the Columbus School of Law (Washington, D.C.). Wojciech will be a speaker on Friday (during the opening panel What Knowledge and Skills Do Lawyers Need to Be Effective in US-CEE Transactions) and Saturday (as moderator for the panel US Investment in CEE: Benefits, Obstacles, and Solutions),
- Filip Mroczkowski, who heads the Spanish and Asia Desks at OW, among others, will speak on the panel Helping Foreign Investors Navigate the Polish Legal System. He will talk about the benefits and obstacles associated with transatlantic investment - and how to overcome them.
- Dominic Kisielewski, a Texas Licensed Attorney and head of the US Desk at OW, who has significant experience in advising on US and international law.
