Joanna Karczewska

Joanna specialises in tax law, in particular in tax disputes. She supports clients in tax audits, customs and tax controls, tax proceedings before the National Tax Administration, as well as before administrative courts. She also advises on tax risk management and liability of management board members.

She started her professional career at OW in 2012. For several years, she was also associated with one of the Big Four companies. Joanna has many years of experience working for large companies as well as individual entrepreneurs. Apart from tax disputes, her professional experience to date also includes ongoing tax advisory in the field of CIT, PIT, VAT and RET.

Joanna provides training on tax disputes, tax procedures and changes in taxes.

A graduate of law and economics at the University of Wrocław and the School of German Law, organised in cooperation with Humboldt-Universität Berlin. She completed postgraduate studies in “Accounting and Taxes” and “Mechanisms of Eurozone Operation” at the University of Economics in Wroclaw. She was awarded an LLP Erasmus scholarship at the Freie Universität Berlin and a Leonardo da Vinci scholarship.

Joanna is fluent in English and German.

In her free time, she rides a bike, plays squash and reads detective stories.

Joanna was recognised in the 18th Rzeczpospolita ranking of tax advisory firms with the title “Young talent”. She was recognised in the international ranking of The Legal 500 as a Recommended lawyer in the field of Tax.
