According to published data, the number of tax and customs inspections is decreasing year by year. This trend, however, does not mean that the activities of tax authorities are less effective. On the contrary, officials - equipped with more and more tools - can accurately select the entities to be audited and often know what they are looking for when they knock on a taxpayer's door. Therefore, proper preparation and approach to an audit are crucial from the very first day.
