O&W partner at the conference “Lower Silesia – Poland – Asia. Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow”
The issue of Polish-Asian cooperation has probably never been as important as it is today. Therefore, we are glad that we could be a partner of the international conference “Lower Silesia – Poland – Asia. Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow”, which took place on 30.06.-1.07.2021 in Wrocław, and its theme focused precisely on the future and development in relations with these regions.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences and ideas in an interdisciplinary group of representatives of the scientific and business circles from Wrocław, Opole and the surrounding area together with local authorities, ambassadors of Asian countries in Poland and Polish ambassadors in Asia. Among the guests were representatives of the embassies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and H.E. Mr. Nguyen Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, H.E. Ms. Nargiz Gurbanova, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Bachrom Babayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, S.K. Ray, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India.
Filip Mroczkowski, Partner responsible for the development of O&W’s Asia Desk was also invited to take part in the discussion and spoke on the potential, needs and main barriers for Asian investments in Poland.
The conference also provided an opportunity to inaugurate the Centre for Asian Studies, a think-tank established in cooperation with academic circles from the region, the Central European Chamber of Commerce, and entrepreneurs with business ties to Asian countries. The CSA will be involved in research and in the exchange of scientific knowledge and expertise on topics related to Asia.
This is a very necessary initiative and we are glad that Olesiński & Wspólnicy is its partner and we can contribute to the development of cooperation between Lower Silesia and Asia.
We will keep you informed about the next initiatives. A photo-report from the conference is available below.
